There's a hastily scribbled note on a piece of paper that appears to have been ripped from its binding with much the same careless vigor in which it had been written with. She's left it pinned against the crude, metal surface of the hatch with an old, rusty Viper shaped magnet.
"We're at war, people--rest and relaxation is for the weak and dying--get back to your post and quit pissing around. I'll be on the Deck until 2200."

Post-graduation, pre-Galactica. This version of Kara has just come off of active duty and is currently stationed at Colonial Flight School on Caprica as a flight instructor. While focused on her duty to the Colonial military, it is an escape at best, and Kara continues to struggle, privately, with the decision to leave a dying Socrata Thrace behind. At present, Zak Adama has not made her acquaintance and she has resorted to reckless substance abuse to pass the time when off duty.
Cylon-occupied Caprica, post-attack. This verse chronicles the time spent on occupied Caprica during the retrieval of the Arrow of Apollo for President Roslin. Kara, along with Helo and the untrusted Eight model, bunker down with the remaining survivors of a resistance movement led by Samuel Anders. The events which transpired during 'The Farm' have not happened.
New Caprica, Cylon occupation. After President Baltar surrenders New Caprica to the Cylon's, Kara and the rest of the Colonists taking refuge upon the planet are left to fall, unwillingly, into a dark oppression by their mechanical masters. Meanwhile, resistance efforts are underway in secret, as are the manipulative schemes controlled by Leoben Conoy.
Search for Earth. With the Demetrius returned with mission accomplished, what is assumed by Kara to be Earth is located and swiftly inhabited by a neutral convoy of both human and Cylon. Unfortunately, what was hoped and largely believed to be 'home' was little more than a planet in ruins, left toxic by nuclear war. The 'prophecy'--for the moment--has yet to be fulfilled and the sacrifices made to reach this disastrous end rest heavy in Kara's hands.
